all dressed up for church

We went to church with Tim, Becky, Cade and Grandma on Sunday. Becky sings in the choir and Nora was entranced. Now... I don't know if it was the music, the message, or the choir director's waving arms. But I do know she loved it. Here's some pictures of her royal cuteness after coming home.
Yes I am getting very good at sitting up by myself! Posted by Picasa

playtime Friday afternoon

Nora loves Cade's oceanarium toy.
But what she loves even more is the blue bow.
This is by far her favorite toy in the past days. All these great toys and she wants to play with a gift bow. Posted by Picasa

Nora and Cade's Photo Shoot

We laid on Cade's farm quilt that Grandma Benson made.
We practiced sitting up.
Cade is better it thanNora is - but he's got her by a few months. She's trying really hard and obviously loves it.
And we watched Grandma Benson make funny faces in order to get us to smile. Didn't really work did it? Posted by Picasa

First days in Iowa

We are a spread out family right now. Virgil is in Connecticut after starting his new job with Sikorsky Aircraft and Nora and I are in Iowa with Tim, Becky and mom/grandma Benson. I started work on Monday and Nora started GrannyDaycare.

Here's Nora and Cade playing with Cade's aquarium activity center. Looks like fun doesn't it?

Its chilly here in Iowa so Nora had to bundle up in a hoodie sweater from her fiery godmother corinne. Beware... gratuitous cute baby pic ahead.

Trip to Long Island

We took the Bridgeport/Port Jefferson ferry to Great Grandma Brady's birthday party on Saturday. Here's Nora not noticing the scenery.
Getting some snuggles and smiles from Anne
Showing off her lung power while being held by the birthday girl.
Great Grandpa didn't get many smiles either.

We had a great time at Kathleen and Timmy's - lots of delicious food and family fun. Nora and I can't wait until we're in CT and can visit more often! Posted by Picasa

this Connecticut place seems alright

There are beaches
There are parks with big rivers and lots of trees
and there's this little boy I met at dinner one night who was actually my age and was bigger than me!!!

This is a little boy whose family we met while out one night. He was 11 lbs 8 oz when he was born on 5/22 - just 3 days before Nora. I knew she wasn't the only big nearly 4 month old out there. I think he's bigger than her! Posted by Picasa

But Mom, I'm taking a bath. Put the camera away

A hand tastes good even while you're taking a bath.

Is it time for lotion???
Mom... I'm naked and camera shy! Posted by Picasa

I really really really really want to stand

Nora's new favorite activity is going from laying to sitting to standing all in one smooth motion. She stands up and just smiles smiles smiles. She's very proud of herself. What a big girl she's becoming! Posted by Picasa

Its lonely here

Well, Daddy's in Conneticut, Tipper's in Michigan and Minerva is with Daddy. Yes, she is a bi-coastal kitty.

That leaves Mommy and Nora to hold down the fort in St. Louis for a few days. We ate, snuggled, napped and played on the floor. It was a very eventful afternoon. Here's some photos of the fun.

I just look like I'm ready to crawl. Its not going to happen yet. Give me a few months. Posted by Picasa
